Members are not receiving the Push Notifications

There are a few reasons why a member is not receiving Push Notifications.

1. Push notifications were not enabled on the member's mobile device.


How to enable on an Iphone device

  1. Go into Settings
  2. Click on Notifications
  3. Find and Click on the app for the club
  4. Allow Notifications - turn this feature on or off 

How to enable on Android device

The instructions to enable or disable the Notifications will vary depending on the device and the version of the Operating System (OS).
  1. Go into Settings
  2. Look for options that will allow you to modify the Notifications option. (Apps, Application Manager, Notification etc...)
  3. It will allow you to Find and Click on the app for the club
  4. Usually there's an option to toggle the Notification feature on or off 
If necessary the member may have to look up instructions online or from the smartphone's user manual. 
 

2. The member was not logged in to the Mobile App prior to when the Push Notification was sent.


Once a member is logged into the Mobile App they don't have to logout. 
 

Example:

Club sends a message at 6:00am to all members advising the golf course is closed

Member is logged in

  • They will receive the notification
  • If they didn't open the notification they can click on the Notification Tab to view it.
  • Once they view it, it will be removed from the Notification Tab

Member is not logged in

  • They will not receive the notification
  • If they click in the Notification Tab there will be no messages because they weren't logged in when the message was sent.
