Page Properties - Reviewing General Settings

The General Setting of a page will outline the basic information that pertains to the page. This includes information such as the last user to edit the page, the Page path name and the date the page was created. In order to access the page you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Select the page you wish to view the General Settings for.
  2. Click on the Properties tab and select the General menu item.

Other Properties

The Other Properties section of the General Settings displays all the basic information about the page in question. Below is an outline of all the information that is displayed in this section.
 

  
 

Document Name: This displays the name of the page
Type: Indicates the document type the page utilizes
Created by:  Indicates the user that originally created the page
Created: Indicates the date and time at which the page was originally created
Last modified by: Indicates which user last made changes to the page
Last modified: Indicates the date and time at which the page was last changed
Rating: N/A
Node ID: N/A
Node GUID: N/A
Alias Path: Indicates the path of the page
Culture: Indicates the culture (language and country) used by the page (i.e. English-United States or English-Great Britain)
Name Path:  Indicates the name path of the page
Live URL:  Shows you how the URL of the page will be displayed on the web (i.e. http://www.mysite.com/Club Info/Golf.aspx)
Published:  Indicates whether or not the page has been published. If it shows as Yes (Green) that means the page has been published at some point in the past. If it shows as No (Red) that means the page has never been published and is not Live  

Owner

The document Owner is the user responsible for its editing. This feature doesn't imply any special permissions for the owner, but it allows for easier orientation in documents. The owner can see all her documents in My Desk -> My Documents section.

Note: The owner is, by default, set to the user who created the document. The owner can be changed only by users with the ability to "Modify permissions".
  

 

Cache

This option allows you to specify whether the page content should be cached in memory (full-page caching). You can choose to inherit the settings from the parent document or to set a different value or to disable full-page caching.
  • If you choose Yes, you can set the number of minutes the page will be cached.
  • If you choose No, there won't be any caching on that page
