Step 1: Apple Development Account Pre-Requisites

Apple Account Requirements

The following details/actions must be prepared prior to creating a Apple Developer Account and initiating the Clubhouse Online App creation process:

Apple ID

  • An Apple ID is the account you use to access Apple services like iCloud, the App Store, the iTunes Store, Apple Music, and more. It includes the email address and password that you use to sign in, and all the contact, payment, and security details that you will use across Apple services.
    • An Apple ID that isn’t linked to a developer account
    • We recommend creating an Apple ID for the Club rather than using a personal account.

Note: The person with whom the Apple ID is associated will be the Legal Contact and will be required to respond to any changes with respect to Terms and Conditions.

DUNS Number

Your organization must have a D-U-N-S Number so that we can verify your organization’s identity and legal entity status. These unique nine-digit numbers are assigned by Dun & Bradstreet and are widely used as standard business identifiers. You can check to see if your organization already has a D-U-N-S Number and request one if necessary. They are free in most jurisdictions.

Legal Entity Status

Your organization must be a legal entity so that it can enter into legal agreements with Apple. Apple does not accept DBAs, fictitious businesses, trade names, or branches. The legal entity name must correspond with the tax ID you plan to use and will appear as the “seller” for apps you may distribute on the App Store and Mac App Store.Ex. Seller: ABC Company, Inc.

Legal Binding Authority

As the person enrolling your organization in the Apple Developer Program, you must have the legal authority to bind your organization to legal agreements. You must be the organization’s owner/founder, executive team member, senior project lead, or have legal authority granted to you by a senior employee.

A credit card for the Annual Fee ($99) for the Developer Account

Once your enrollment information has been verified and you have agreed to the associated program license agreement, you can purchase your membership. The Apple Developer Program annual fee is 99 USD.

An Apple Device (iPhone or iPad) to be used for Two Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication is an extra layer of security for your Apple ID designed to ensure that you're the only person who can access your account, even if someone knows your password. With two-factor authentication, your account can only be accessed on devices you trust, like your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. When you want to sign in to a new device for the first time, you'll need to provide two pieces of information—your password and the six-digit verification code that's automatically displayed on your trusted devices.

Privacy Policy

In order for your Clubhouse Online app to appear in any of the app stores, it must be accompanied with a Privacy Policy. This policy is exclusively for your club and is not associated with Jonas Club Software nor can it be created on your behalf by Jonas Club Software. If you don’t already have a Privacy Policy, there are several online tools available to create one, however, whichever you choose to use, here are some recommendations as to what to include to assist you in having a Privacy Policy which will cover all current, and future, features of the app.

Once you have successfully created your Privacy Policy, or if you already have one in place, please provide us the URL in the Mobile App Information Form (Step 5) where the policy can be accessed.
