Configuring Lessons Activity Types

Activity Management

To add a new Activity Type:

  1. Click New.
  2. Within the General tab, add a name in the Description field and ensure Active is checked.
  3. Switch to the Lessons Management tab and set up the General, Facilities, Confirmations and Email Settings tabs as seen below. Once settings have been configured, click Save.

General tab

  1. Check Enable This Activity Type can be used in Lessons Management.
  2. This Activity is Bookable Online: can bookings be made online for this activity type? If yes, enable this option.
  3. If you would like to set advance booking restrictions, enable Restrict Advance Bookings and fill in the following fields:
    • Max Days in Advance / Not Before
    • Min Days in Advance / Not After
  4. If you would like to apply a cancellation, fill in the following fields:
    • Cancellation Policy: select an existing cancellation policy via the drop down, if applicable.
    • A cancellation timeline can be set without charging a fee by setting either days or hours in advance that the lesson can be cancelled up until.
  5. Allow Guest Bookings: can guests be added to a lesson? If yes, enable this option.
  6. Set the Time Slot Parameters:
    • Time Slot Interval: set what increment will be used for time slot internals (ex. 15 minutes, 30 minutes, etc.).
    • Interval Display Style: how the lesson interval will display when making a reservation (ex. hours only, etc.).
  7. Click Set Hours of Operation to set the hours for this activity type:
    • Select a start month/day and an end month/day for the schedule.
    • Click and drag for the time of day then right click and select Add New Item or click on the paint brush (allowed) in top left.
    • Note that there is no save button on this screen.

Facilities tab

In the eligible column, check which facilities this activity type will take place at. If using more than one facility, the facilities can be ranked by typing in a number under the rank column.

Confirmations tab

  1. Enable the applicable confirmation options.
  2. Click on Forms to manage the email notifications.
  1. Manage the email notifications if you turned them on above.
  2. Click the Green Checkmark to save.

Email Settings tab

Make sure the SMTP Settings have been filled out. Fill on the Email Settings including From Email Address and Sender's Name.
