How to Configure Event Registration

Once you have completed the General Information of the Event, you can choose to add a Registration component for your members. There are four available options under the Registration and Pricing section which are as follows:

No Registration

These types of events are created for informational purposes only. The General Information entered in the event will be displayed but, members will not be able to register for these types of events.

Registration Only

Adding Registration to an Event will allow your members to specify if they will be attending an event and how many people they will be attending with. The first step to add Registration to an Event is to select a Registration Type.

Registration and Pricing

Adding Registration and Pricing to an Event will allow your members to specify if they will be attending an event and how many people they will be attending with. Your members will also be provided with the cost for each Registrant that will be attending the event. Similar to adding Registration Only to an event, you will need to choose a Registration Type. The price is for information purposes only, members will not be asked to make payment during the registration process.

Pricing Only

Similar to the No Registration events, the pricing only events are created for informational purposes only. The General Information entered in the event will be displayed but members will not be able to register for these types of events. However, in the Event Details, the pricing information for that particular event will display when members click on the More info option. The price is for information purposes only, members will not be asked to make payment during the registration process.

Registration Only

You will need to select one of the three types of Registration for your event:

Quick Registration

Adding the Quick Registration type to your event will allow your members to add quantities of unnamed registrants per Registrant Category. Since the registrants are unnamed, you are allowed to add Booking Questions to the registration; however, you will not be able to add Individual Registrant Questions.

Detailed Registration

Adding the Detailed Registration type to your Event will allow your members to add named registrants by utilizing the search options provided or by typing in Guests' names. For events of this type, both Booking Questions and Individual Registrant Questions can be added to the registration process.

Hybrid Registration

Adding the Hybrid Registration type to your event, will allow your members to add both Named and Unnamed registrants. Events of this type of registration allow for both Booking Questions and Individual Registrant Questions, however, Individual questions can only be answered by named registrants (Members and/or Guests)

Registrant Categories

Each event that you create with Registration requires a Registrant Category to be added. You will have the option of selecting either the Age Applied Category or a Member Selected Category.

Registrant Categories

Each event that you create with Registration requires a Registrant Category to be added. You will have the option of selecting either an Age Applied Registrant Category or a Member Selected Registrant Category. Within these Registrant Category selections, you will be able to dictate the prices for attending the event.

Early Bird Pricing

When choosing the Registration and Pricing type of registration for your event, you will have the option of adding Early bird Pricing for your members. This will allow you to dictate a lower price for your members if they register for the event before a specific time in the registration period. In order to activate Early bird pricing, you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Select the checkbox beside Allow early bird pricing
  2. Define specific date/time
    • Unchecked: Enter when the early price will end by entering either the number of hours or days prior to Event Start Date/Time. This option is only available for individual events and does not apply to recurring events.
    • Checked: The date and time drop-down boxes will display, select when the early bird price will end.
  3. Click on the Save button to confirm the Early bird pricing setup.
  4. In the Registrants Category section - the additional fields will be displayed to set the Early bird prices.

The Pricing will display after members click on the More Info option from the Event Details.

Pricing Only

Pricing Only events are created to provide members with just the Event Details and the Pricing information for each attendee. Although there is no actual registration for this type of event. The Pricing will display after members click on the More Info option from the Event Details.

Registrant Categories

When you select the Pricing Only option under registration you will need to add at least one Registrant Category in order to state the prices for attendees. You will have the option of selecting either the Age Applied Registrant Category or a Member Selected Registrant Category.

Options

Since this is a pricing only event, the Allow Guests option will allow a different price to be displayed if guests were to attend your event. This pricing information will be visible in the Event Details section when members click on the More info option.
