Page Type - Widget Dining Menu & Menu Category

The Widget Dining Menu & Menu Category page type is interactive and allows a club to easily create menus with menu categories that contain individual menu items. Users have the ability to navigate through menu categories (if multiple) by clicking on the menu category name, and select the quantity of a menu item by utilizing the minus and plus signs. Upon clicking Add to Cart, the menu item(s) will be listed under the Order Summary. Menu items can be removed from the Order Summary by clicking Remove located below the menu item or decreasing the quantity to 0, and the quantity can be decreased or increased by utilizing the minus and plus signs. Once ready, a user can click Confirm Order to process their order. Before completing the order, a user must enter their Name and Email Address with the option to add comments, and can then click Submit Order to finalize their order, which will take the user to a confirmation screen. The user will then receive an email confirmation of their order, indicating that the order has been received and is being processed.

Creating a Widget Dining Menu Category

  1. On the Content Tree select the Site Data folder
  2. Click on the New(+) button located above the Content Tree
  3. Select the Widget Dining Menu Category page type
  1.  Fill in the following details:
    Note: Fields denoted with a * are mandatory to be filled in before the Widget Dining Menu Category page can be saved. All other fields are optional.
    • Name:* the display name of the page within the Content Tree for admins to see
      • set up as different meals Breakfast, Lunch Dinner
      • set up as different categories for a meal Appetizers, Entrees, Snacks, Salads, Desserts
    • Category Display Name:* will appear as the title when adding this Widget Dining Menu Category to a Widget Dining Menu page type, as well as display as the menu category name within the Online Ordering widget. Make it the same as Name to keep it simple.
  2. Click Add item: to add individual menu items to the menu. If your menu will consist of more than one item, it is suggested to add all items before creating the Widget Dining Menu page type
  1. Fill in the following details:
    • Name: enter a name for the item
    • Description: enter a description for the item
    • Price: enter a price for the item without the currency symbol
  2. Click Select to add the item
Note: Adding or editing an item will automatically save the page. Deleting an item will require you to manually save the page to have changes applied.
  1. Optional - once an item has been added, hover over the existing item to Edit or Delete that item, or move the item within the list by using the Up and Down buttons
  2. Optional - set a Publish From and Publish To date

Publish From and Publish To >>

Inserting a Publish From date will allow you to dictate when content saved on a page should be visible on the Live Site. Prior to the Publish To date, only the previously published content (if available), will be visible on the Live Site. If the content on the page has never been published prior to Publish From date, the entire page will not be visible until the date entered. Inserting a Publish To date will allow you to dictate when the published content should no longer be visible on the Live Site. Time sensitive content would be a reason to set a Publish To date to ensure that the content is no longer visible on the Live Site after the date that has been entered. Once the target date is reached, the page will enter an unpublished state.

In order to set a Publish From/To date you will need to follow these steps:

  • To set a date and time in the future for when the page should be published/unpublished, click on the calendar icon
  • To publish the page instantly click on the 'Now' link
  • Once you are satisfied with the settings click on the Save button (if applicable)
  1. Click Save to save the page
  2. Add additional Dining Widget Menu Category page types, as applicable (example: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Creating a Widget Dining Menu

  1. On the Content Tree select the Site Data folder
  2. Click on the New(+) button located above the Content Tree
  3. Select the Widget Dining Menu page type
  1.  Fill in the following details:
    Note: Fields denoted with a * are mandatory to be filled in before the Widget Dining Menu page can be saved. All other fields are optional.
    • Name:* the display name of the page within the Content Tree for admins to see
      • use the name of the room Grille, Patio or call it Online Ordering
    • Menu Title:* will appear as the name of the menu when adding it to the Online Ordering widget, as well as the title of the menu within the Online Ordering widget. Make it the same as Name to keep it simple.
  1. Click Menu Categories* to add an existing Widget Dining Menu Category
  1. Select the applicable Category via the drop down menu and click Select
Note: Adding or editing a category will automatically save the page. Deleting a category will require you to manually save the page to have changes applied.
  1. Add additional Widget Dining Menu Categories, as applicable (example: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
  2. Fill in the following details:
    • Menu Instructional Text: will display above the menu and below the menu title
    • Order Confirmation Sender's Email Address: this is the email address from which email confirmation will be sent to both members and club staff. If nothing is entered, the email address which will appear as the sender will be noreply@clubhouseonline -e3.com
    • Email Recipient(s):* email address(es) of email confirmation recipient(s). Multiple email addresses may be entered separated by a semi-colon (;)
    • Confirmation Email Header: any content added will appear above the order confirmation email standard template
    • Confirmation Email Footer: any content added will appear below the order confirmation email standard template
    • Optional - set a Publish From and Publish To date

Editing a Widget Dining Menu & Widget Dining Menu Category

  1. Select the Widget Dining Menu or Widget Dining Menu Category from the Content Tree that you wish to edit
  2. Click on the Form tab
  3. Complete the desired changes
  4. Click on the Save button  

Deleting a Widget Dining Menu & Widget Dining Menu Category

  1. Select the Widget Dining Menu or Widget Dining Menu Category from the Content Tree that needs to be deleted
  2. Click on the Delete (trash can) icon located at the top of the Content Tree
  3. You will be asked: Are you sure you want to delete the selected page?
  4. Leave the check boxes empty and click on Yes to delete the selected page
