Widget Type - Title and Summary

The Title and Summary widget focuses on smaller blocks of content. The widget is configured by selecting a layout of text only which allows you to set an image or colour as the background, or text and image which allows you to choose the alignment of an image to the text. Other fields to be configured include title, description text and adding an optional button link based on the selected theme's primary colour.

Available in the following Content Blocks: Extra Large, Large, Small

Configuration


Any field marked with a red asterisk (*) is required in order to save the widget. Fields will be available depending on the options you pick, and the widget zone being used. Once all the applicable fields have been configured, click Save & Close to save the widget. If you enter details for one layout option and Save & Close and save the page, but decide to change to the other layout later on, the widget will save your past entries when you switch back to the other layout option.
  • Theme:* choose between 1 of 3 custom themes that have been applied to the website
  • Layout:* choose whether you want Text Only or Text & Image 
    • Text Only: will display text only & allow you to choose a background* option
      • Colour: if chosen, the background colour will be the secondary colour of the chosen theme
      • Image: if chosen, the image will be the background of the widget; add an image by clicking Select and choosing the image from the Media Libraries
    • Text & Image: allows you to add an image to appear on the left or right of the text, depending on the widget zone being used
      • Image:* add an image by clicking Select and choosing the image from the Media Libraries
      • Image Alt Text: text that will appear in place of the image if it is not loading on the user's web browser, and can also be read by a screen reader
      • Image Alignment: choose a right or left alignment for image to text
  • Title:* enter a title for the widget
  • Text:* enter summary text for the widget
  • Show Button: checkmark the Show Button checkbox to turn on the button link that will appear below the text. If the button is enabled, a button link and text must be added
    • Button Text:* the text that will display in the button link
    • Button Link:* where the user will be directed to when the click the button link
      • Web: if you want to link to an external site
      • Media Libraries: if you want to link to a PDF
      • Content Tree: if you want to link to an internal page; select the page on the Content Tree that you want to link to
