Widget Type - Upcoming Events
The Upcoming Events widget displays upcoming events pulled from the Online Calendar. The widget is configured by selecting the display settings, including max events displayed per page. The events will appear in a vertical or horizontal list, depending on the widget zone. A user can click on the name of an event to open the event view window, navigate through additional pages as available, or view all events.
Requirements: Events in the Online Calendar
Available in the following Widgets: Extra Large, Large, Small
When the widget is added to
- 70%/100%/Full Width zones the events will be displayed horizontally,
- option to add a teaser image.
- 50% or 30% zone the events will be displayed vertically,
- no option to add teaser image
The image below is an example of the widget set up on the left in a 70% banner zone with a few teaser images and on the right in a 30% zone.
Configuration
Any field marked with a red asterisk (
*) is required in order to save the widget. Once all the applicable fields have been configured, click
Save & Close to save the widget.
- Theme: Choose a theme - theme colours are pre-set on the club's site as part of the site design
- Title: Add a title to be displayed above the widget
- Time Frame in Days: enter a time frame in days, which will indicate how far in the future to display events
- Consolidate Multi Seating Events: if enabled, will combine multiple seating's for an event; if not enabled, each seating time will display as an individual event
- Max Number of Displayed Events: enter the max number of events to display, in days, within the widget
- Display Dates in short format: if enabled, event dates will display in short format

- Checked = Tue, Nov 07 (year is removed)
- Max Events Displayed Per Page: enter the max number of events to display per page; any remaining events can be displayed by navigating through the page numbers
- Event Categories to display: use the drop down to filter which event categories to display in the widget, if applicable; any event category that is selected will display
- Custom Attributes to Display: use the drop down to filter which custom attributes to display in the widget, if applicable; any custom attribute that is selected will display
- Hide Today's Past Events: if enabled, will hide any same day events that have already occurred when a user is viewing the widget
- Only Display Public Calendar Events: if enabled, it will only display events that were flagged with “Allow Public Users to View This Event”. If this widget was added to a page for not authenticated users, they will only be able to see events that have been configured with “Allow Public Users to View This Event”
- Display Teaser Images: if enabled, it will display an image for the event, provided the Event Teaser Image has been uploaded in the General Information Tab when creating/editing an individual event.
